An IFMGA Mountain Guide, Lars specializes in Risk Assessment, Safety Management and International Travel stemming from twenty years of managing groups, operations and working in the world’s most remote, wild terrestrial, and marine environments. Lars’ introduction to the film and television industry was with managing safety and race course development with Mark Burnett’s iconic adventure race series, Eco-Challenge. This was the precursor to Survivor and what we now know as adventure unscripted television. His involvement since then has been varied, working extensively in safety, stunts, locations and risk assessment and evolving to creative development and Canadian production partnerships on many complex and ambitious shows such Tough As Nails for CBS, National Geographic’s Race to the Center of the Earth, and History Channel’s survival format Alone.
